Alexandra Signor
Lexie Signor hails from Mackinaw City, Michigan. Ms. Signor holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northern Michigan University and two Master's degrees from the University of Missouri in Trumpet Performance and Jazz Performance and Pedagogy, respectively. Over the course of the past two decades, Ms. Signor has dedicated herself to the complete mastery of her musical craft by studying at the Interlochen Arts academy and is currently finishing her doctoral work at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. In addition to running her own ensemble, The Atomic Dog Brass Band as it's main composer, their main arranger, lead vocalist and lead trumpet player, she is also currently playing lead in Michael Spiro and Wayne Wallace's Latin Jazz collective in Bloomington, IN and performs regularly with the Stardusters Big Band, the Swing Time Big Band and other varying freelance performances. Ms. Signor has also worked in several other genres including orchestral trumpet, solo classical trumpet, solo classical voice, solo jazz trumpet and as a composer/arranger for film scores, big bands, marching bands and various studio work. Recently, Ms. Signor has worked with several renowned jazz musicians including Ignacio Berroa, Robin Eubanks, Steve Turre, Mike Stern, Bob Sheppard and Byron Stripling. Lexie Signor is a Marcinkiewicz Co. performing/recording artist and clinician.
